About cannon salute:

Salutes are fired from the Flag Bastion at Kronborg Castle on the following occasions: Royal birthdays, births, deaths, and the official embarkation of Their Majesties the King and Queen on board the Royal Yacht Dannebrog.

The great royal cannon salute consists of 27 shots.
The number of shots during a salute depends on the event being marked.

Note: You can experience the cannon saluting from the area around Kronborg Castle or with a regular day ticket to Kronborg Castle.

Program for 2024:

February 5: Cannon salute on the flag bastion on the occasion of H.M. Queen Mary's birthday. 12:00 noon

April 16: Cannon salute on the occasion of H.M. Queen Margrethe's birthday. 12:00 noon

May 2: Cannon salute on the occasion of Their Majesties the Royal Couple's official embarkation on the Royal Yacht Dannebrog. 15:00

May 26: Cannon salute on the occasion of H.M. King Frederik's birthday. 12:00 noon
