Kronborg Castle: The perfect place for school excursions and activities for children in daycare centers

Welcome to Kronborg Castle - one of Denmark's most beautiful castles! Kronborg Castle is located in beautiful and green surroundings in Elsinore and offers exhibitions and guided tours that are well suited for excursions for schools and other institutions.

It was here that Shakespeare, inspired by the Danish royal family, wrote the classic Hamlet. Kronborg Castle hides hundreds of years of history that can be explored by children and young people of all ages.

Our tours are a great activity for children as they are packed with historical knowledge and exciting stories, whether it's a kindergarten class on a school trip or a high school class visiting as part of their history lessons.

Have you run out of ideas for excursions here in Denmark, or maybe you're looking for museums in North Zealand? Go on a school trip to Kronborg Castle. At Kronborg Castle, students can experience a different school excursion where they can explore the underground corridors of the Casemates and visit Holger Danske, who is sleeping deep in the basement.

School pupils, after-school clubs, kindergarten children and other institutions are welcome to visit Kronborg Castle. We offer guided tours for virtually all age groups, and both children and adults can explore and learn about the castle's history and culture. If, for example, an elementary school or high school class goes on a school excursion to Kronborg Castle, the visit can give the students a common starting point for a history lesson on the history of Denmark.
