Come to Kronborg and see Denmark from its best side, with the wind in your hair and history as a magical backdrop for a fantastic day.
Join us on a Hamlet history hunt, help the court to appoint a new ruler after the king's untimely death. Test your strength with the castle's many activities for children, enjoy the view from the cannon tower, and take a walk along the ramparts.
We have exciting experiences for the whole family, and remember; there is free admission for children and young people under 18 years old.

Join the History Hunt: Who will be the next king?
Prince Hamlet has just returned to the castle, but everything is in chaos. The king is dead, and the kingdom lacks a new ruler. Three strong candidates are ready: Hamlet himself, Queen Gertrude the widow, and the mysterious Uncle Claudius. But who is truly honest - and who hides dark motives? Explore the nooks of the castle, meet the costumed characters, and help to interrogate them. Find clues and participate in deciding who will wear the crown.
The award-winning historical treasure hunt is tailor-made for children between 7-12 years old - and their adults!

Feel the spirit of Kronborg
Also discover our fun, interactive stations where you can try your hand at life in a Renaissance castle. Write with a quill, talk to the cheeky parrot, or take aim when you fire the air cannon!

Say hello to Holger Danske and enjoy the castle
Take a break and enjoy an ice cream in our café while you gather strength for a visit to the casemates, where you can meet our snoring legendary hero Holger Danske. Also let yourself be captivated by the grandeur of the Ballroom, and take the 145 steps up to the Cannon Tower, where you can enjoy the most amazing view over the Øresund.
