Come to the castle and try your hand at Renaissance party preparations and party tricks
The King is throwing a big party at the castle - and you're invited to join the preparations! The whole family can join in as they prepare for several days of royal festivities with guests from near and far. There are tasks and fun for young and old alike.

Age
Best suited for children aged 7 - 12 years.
Ticket
The experience does not require a separate ticket and is free for everyone who has purchased a ticket to the castle. Free admission for children under 18 years.
Time of day
On weekends and public holidays in May and June, between 10:00 - 15:00.
Language
Available in both Danish and English.
Accessibility
The tour goes around the entire castle and up and down stairs. There is no elevator or lift in the castle.
Family activities

Get ready for royal appearances
With the noblewoman or nobleman, you can practice bowing, curtsying and dancing like the fine people at court. You'll learn how to move correctly in the royal chambers and be ready to enter the ballroom with grace and manners.

Trickery and chivalry
At the court jester, it's fast and furious. Here you can learn to juggle, play music and try your hand at fencing and ring riding - activities that require both concentration and good humor. Maybe there's a little jester or knight hiding inside you?
3.
Help in the busy castle kitchen
Extra hands are needed in the busy castle kitchen. You can help with sweeping, folding tablecloths, lugging wine barrels and roasting spices. There's a lot to prepare and keep track of before the king's guests arrive, and this is a rare insight into everyday life behind the scenes.
4.
It's absolutely great
Twice a day, everyone who wants to gather for the king's cannon toast. At 11:30 and 13:30, they head to the upper casemate, where the toy cannon is fired to great cheers. Both children and adults can join in when the party atmosphere really sparks.
