Ticket office
We have two ticket offices. One office is located in the yellow house after the first moat. The other is located in the gate after the last moat and leads you directly into the castle courtyard.
Public transportation
Take Kystbanen (DSB) to Elsinore Station - the train runs directly from Copenhagen approximately every 20 minutes. From the station it is a 10-minute walk to Kronborg. Bus lines 801A and 802 also stop at Helsingør Station. Ferries from Helsingborg arrive at the ferry terminal right next door.

The ticket is valid for 1 year from the date of purchase.
Can I get a refund on my ticket?
No, unfortunately we do not refund your ticket. However, once you've purchased your ticket, you have a full year to find a suitable time to visit us.Can I exchange my ticket for an annual pass?
Yes, you can. But remember to upgrade your ticket before you leave the castle. The ticket must be upgraded within 24 hours. The ticket cannot be upgraded online.
Parking
Public parking
You will find the public parking lot north of the castle. The address is: Nordhavnsvej, 3000 Helsingør.
Disabled parking
Disabled parking is located inside the castle grounds to the left of the entrance to the castle courtyard. Drive right around the castle and follow the route to the parking lot to the left of the main entrance.
Vehicles with disability plates can access parking by agreement with the castle. Call to make an appointment on +45 49 21 30 78. Our phone hours are:

Wardrobe
The cloakroom can be used free of charge. Larger backpacks and luggage are not allowed in the castle.
Food & drink
Buy food on site
Café Sundtolden is located next to the castle shop. Here you can buy hot and cold drinks, snacks and treats.
Bring your own food
You are welcome to eat your own food in the Old Kitchens.
Accessibility
Wheelchair access
Kronborg has many stairs and no elevator, so it is not easy to get around as a wheelchair user.
Service and guide dog
We welcome the four-legged helpers to the castle.

Stroller & changing tables
Strollers and prams cannot be brought inside the castle and must be parked according to staff instructions. Changing tables are located in the restroom.
Photography
Private photography
Photography is allowed at Kronborg, you just need to remember to:
- It must be for private use.
- You are not allowed to bring a camera tripod or tripod.
- Our exhibits must not be damaged.
- You must not disturb the other guests.
- You must follow the instructions of our staff.
Professional photography
Professional photography for commercial use is subject to agreement with the castle.

The price covers entrance for 3 people and supervision.
If you also want to take photos in the dance hall, there is an additional charge of DKK 2,000.
Frequently asked questions
Can I bring my dog?
Dogs are not allowed in the castle nor in a bag. Service and guide dogs are exempt.Can I bring my bike?
Bicycles are not allowed in the castle grounds and bicycles are not allowed in the castle courtyard. There are several bicycle parking options, e.g. on Kronborgvej and at the castle guard at the entrance to the castle grounds.
