When you visit Kronborg Castle this fall, an exciting experience awaits you with the exhibition 'Monsters - ugly creatures with big feelings' by Shane Brox. Shane Brox, who is known from several children's TV programs, has created this incredible exhibition, which is primarily aimed at families with children, but which adults will also find interesting. Once you've completed the hunt, you can then explore the castle.

There are activities for the whole family at Kronborg Castle in North Zealand during the fall vacation 2023. Here you can experience a history hunt where you have to go around the castle and solve an attempted murder, you can experience the popular monster exhibition or you can visit Holger Danske in the casemates. Attempted murder at Kronborg - Who is guilty?

A story hunt for the whole family

Frederik II is shaken, angry and upset. Late one night, someone has tried to poison him. Someone around him wants him dead. But who? The king has tried in vain to find out who wants to kill him. But to no avail. Are there important clues he has missed? Is someone lying?

Help him solve the mystery.

Take the family by the hand and explore the castle's many nooks and crannies together in search of clues that could reveal the culprit. On your way around you will meet the suspects, and one thing is certain: One of them is behind the attempted murder. But who is hiding something? Are they lying? And what were they really doing the night it happened?

You'll have to use all your ingenuity and imagination to find out who did it. And remember to keep your eyes and ears open - you might discover new clues that could lead to a solution.

When: Every day, October 14 - October 22, 2023, 10 a.m. - 5 p.m.

Monsters - beastly beings with big emotions

Under the castle ramparts - in deep passages and dark rooms - you can meet the monsters of the past, created by multi-artist Shane Brox from recycled materials. Meet the love-hungry giant octopus Kraken, the fearsome flycatcher Beezlebub or the lonely dragon.

These are monsters that people have always been convinced existed - in the dark shadows of the night, in the depths of the sea - in places you couldn't see and where your imagination was given free rein. Monsters who could hurt people, spread fear, bad luck and death, and who gave body and form to everything that we could not understand, but which was part of everyday life - even in the 500 years that Kronborg Castle has existed. The monsters are created by multi-artist Shane Brox.

The exhibition is suitable for children of all ages.
