On this evening, you'll get a rare chance to experience the castle at twilight and explore behind doors that are normally locked.
When the lights in the royal apartment are out, the guests have gone home and the castle is ready for the night, our guide is ready to take you inside. In spring 2025, we take up a popular theme and tell all the gossip stories from Kronborg that can't stand the light of day. In a hushed voice, we walk through the darkened castle and let the stories come to life. The tour ends with a glass of port and a rum ball in the old kitchens.

There are some stairs on the tour and no elevator in the castle.

From the red gate to red cheeks
The castle host will meet you at the red gate and together you will make your way through the castle's beautiful halls, dark corridors and winding staircases, to a string of the many forgotten stories that have given the court of the time red cheeks and got the gossip rolling.

Get a bite to eat and a break for your legs
After a good tour of the castle, we finish in the café where you can unwind with a glass of port and a rum ball.

Kronborg After Hours is part of Elsinore Evenings. 10 of the city's cultural players open their doors every Thursday or Friday during the dark months, where there is much more to experience and taste.
